Ezmuve Estate Agents was awarded the Most People-Focused Real Estate Agents – West Yorkshire 2022 at the recent Northern Enterprise Awards, which recognise companies and teams that are excelling and innovating within their market.

Zee, who graduated in Secondary PE and Sports Development at Leeds Trinity University in 2016, took over as Business Director at Ezmuve in January 2022, having invested in property for several years.

Although initially interested in a career in sport, Zee used the experience and skills he learnt at Leeds Trinity to broaden his horizons and consider other options which led him to joining Ezmuve.

After taking up the role as Business Director, Zee has overseen the company closing £15million in transactions within his first 12 months and now winning this award.

Zee, who is 30 and originally from Huddersfield, said: “I became Business Director earlier this year. Although I had been investing in property since 2020, I had never worked in the estate agents’ side of things. The first few months were a challenge and my hunger for success saw me work evenings and weekends to make my mark.

“The team worked incredibly hard and pulled together to make this a great year. We feel very proud as a company to have beaten competitors with many years of trading experience. My ambition for next year is to continue the company’s growth and expand even further.”

Zee set up his own charity in 2015, the Helping Hand Foundation, which sees him give food and essential products to people living on the streets in West Yorkshire throughout the winter. After graduating, he also kickstarted a charity initiative called Everybody Eats in 2017 that provided free food and essentials for members of the public during Ramadan.

Zee recently returned to Leeds Trinity University as a guest speaker at the Trinity Alumni Business Network, where he discussed his career and charity work with current students.

Brett Arnall, Alumni Relations Officer at Leeds Trinity University, said: “I first met Zee in 2017 after reading about his incredible fundraising initiatives in Huddersfield.

“Throughout his life, Zee has supported so many others. I am so pleased and proud, but not surprised, to see him excel in another venture to add to his portfolio of successes. The award of ‘people-focused’ says everything about Zee as an individual and his approach to business.

“Zee’s positivity, hunger for success and desire to make a difference are infectious. He puts much of this down to his biggest inspiration, his mother. Despite living in poverty and not knowing if they could pay the bills, his mother would still give to charity. He has followed in her footsteps to help others through charity, mentorship, financially or as a friend, and he deserves every success.”
