There’s a lot to think about when you’re applying for your PGCE.

It’s hard to know where to begin, or what you need to prepare to give yourself the best chance of success. Discover more about our PGCE application process and what will happen at every stage of your application journey.

How do you apply for a PGCE?

Once you’ve chosen your training route, subject or age range that best suits your needs, you can apply for your PGCE through the gov.uk website.

You’ll need to create an account and then complete an online application form, applying for up to four training programmes. However, you don't have to apply for all four courses at the same time.

When you apply, you’ll need to provide our training provider code (L24) and the programme code.

There is no official closing date for applications, but once the course is full, it will be listed as having no vacancies.

If you’re looking for financial help while you study, there is more information about fees and funding on the Get Into Teaching website. Additionally, Leeds Trinity also offers course-specific bursaries and scholarships to PGCE students.
