Summer School for Sustainability - University of Gothenburg - Sweden
Join the Summer School for Sustainability together with like-minded people for five inspirational summer weeks. Act on sustainability and deepen your understanding of global challenges and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
University of Gothenburg Summer School for Sustainability will run from June 27 to August 2, 2024. Students will be able to choose one of five courses in the areas of education, politics, biology, digitalisation, or humanities. All courses are given at bachelor's level, taught in English, valid for 7.5 credits (ECTS), and combine workshops and seminars.

What are the costs and funding?
There are no programme fees for students from LTU, estimated costs for accommodation are £300, flights from Leeds Bradford to Gothenburg around £200, and any other expenses.

Alphard Educational - Romania
Typically 3-12 weeks long, the Alphard Educational volunteer work placement provides you with an opportunity to gain teaching experience, improve management skills and enhance life skills through volunteering, living with international students and attending social and cultural events and activities.
The work involves teaching English to children aged between 6 to 18 years old who cannot afford trips abroad, so you'll bring the “abroad” to them. You will be the tutor, trainer or teacher and will run fun English classes for children and teens, through games, sports, art, and journalism according to students' age.
All the support, training and materials are provided for you and you will always have one or two Romanian assistants ready to help.

What are the costs and funding?
During the trip, you will need minimal spending money.
Alphard offers plane tickets from most European capitals, transfers to and from Bucharest and the camp, three meals a day, accommodation with the other students involved in the program, trips, free training for the placement, and support during all the activities held in the camp along with a lot of fun.

Play Action International - Kenya

Travelteer – Morrocco
Travelteer brings an innovative concept that is at the forefront of responsible travel and ethical volunteering. We understand the importance of utilising volunteers’ skill sets to provide support for our programmes and help make a real difference in the local communities.
This culturally immersive programmes sees students living and volunteering alongside communities in the Atlas Mountains. Students will help support infrastructure, agriculture and education projects within the villages. Students can join volunteering programmes from two weeks to two months.

Travelteer – Sri Lanka
Not only does Travelteer offer life-changing volunteering programmes, but also the opportunity to explore and travel.
The Community Development programme aims to help outlying mountain communities. You will be working as a group in villages throughout the mountainous area surrounding Pokhara to improve agriculture, infrastructure, and education.
Students can join volunteering programmes from two weeks to two months.
